Mission - Assisting a Senior with Yard Work

“Then the King will say…

I was hungry and you fed me,

I was thirsty and you gave me drink

I was homeless and your gave me a room,

I was shivering and you gave me clothes

I was sick and you stopped to visit,

I was in prison and you came to me!

…When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?  And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?”… I’m telling you the solemn truth:  Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me— you did it to me.’”

Matthew 25:31-40

We take seriously God’s command to go out into the world and build God’s Kingdom.  Here are some of the ways that we’re God’s hands in the world:

– Hunger Awareness and Relief

– “The Church Has Left the Building”:  Annual all church mission Sunday

– Worldwide Disaster Relief

– Presbytery of Philadelphia/Zambia Partnership

– Extended Local Mission

– Children’s Noisy Offering

Through our work with organizations like Advocates Against Hunger, Norristown Interfaith Food Bank, Outreach House and Women’s Bridge Resource Center, we bring God’s grace and hope to a hurting world.  In addition, we contribute significantly to the PC (USA)’s national offerings for One Great Hour of Sharing and Peacemaking as well as the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program.

Come join us and be the hands of Jesus Christ in the world as we share God’s love with those who live on the margins of our society.  Call the church office 610-539-5599 for more information.
