Norriton Presbyterian will meet at 6:00 PM at Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church in the fellowship hall (straight in the entrance and down the hall) for our traditional meal of soup and bread, followed, at 7:00 PM by a service in the sanctuary for a joint Ash Wednesday service with the congregations and choirs of Norriton, Port Kennedy and Jeffersonville Churches. Please make every effort to join in this very meaningful way to begin your Lenten journey.
Ash Wednesday is named after the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of faithful as a reminder of human mortality, and as a sign of mourning and repentance to God. “Shout out, do not hold back! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Announce to my people their rebellion, to the house of Jacob their sins.” Isaiah 58:1
